c6gowin Posted October 11, 2007 Share #3 Posted October 11, 2007 In summary, get a codeable adapter from John Milich and put a 39mm Leica UV/IR filter on front and you will have a great little lens for the M8 for not much money. You will likely need to look through some old threads to get the detials, but the info is here on this forum.
bradreiman Posted October 11, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 11, 2007 yep-its outstanding, especially for its price and size. easy as pie to focus by scale, its not rangefinder coupled. really fun little lens, great for dramatic landscapes. tamer on the m8 than the m6 with lots of the distortion cropped out....b

Marquinius Posted October 11, 2007 Share #6 Posted October 11, 2007 I bought mine as I was not sure if I was really going to use that format very much. Now I grab it for many occasions as it is a very nice lens. I don't think you can get any better for that money!
cme4brain Posted October 11, 2007 Share #7 Posted October 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone had any experience using the Heliar 15mm on an M8? This is a great lens. Here are some non-artistic shots taken with the CV 15mm lens on my M8. The mooring lines in the appropriate picture are litterally 2 feet from the camera. The lens was coded but no IR cut filter. dspeltz Posted October 11, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 11, 2007 Buy it. Decide later if you need coding and filter. Great little tiny lens. Use a 21mm viewfinder.
