aj55 Posted October 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) An adapter from Stephen Gandy made it possible to use my Nikon shift lenses (28+35) on the M8! Here is something you can do with Cornerfix too - amazing software BTW.: Nikon 28mm shifted left: first run through created profile: secod time through created profile: Obviously no IR filter used! robertwright Posted October 10, 2007 Share #4 Posted October 10, 2007 Leaf capture has a similar function called Gain which allows you to do the same thing to the chip. Especially important since shifts will affect color across the capture. Makes me want to find a used nikon shift lens.
robsteve Posted October 10, 2007 Share #5 Posted October 10, 2007 A Leica shift lens will work too with the Leica or Novoflex R to M adapter.
aj55 Posted October 10, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted October 10, 2007 A Nikon - especially the 35 - will be somewhat cheaper I think. And they are beautifully build lenses! Being a specialist lens that's not surprising I suspect. I want to make photo's not unlike the 6X17 rollfilm cams. Leftshift+rightshift and merge. Guest guy_mancuso Posted October 10, 2007 Share #8 Posted October 10, 2007 I have a Olympus 24mm shift that I had converted to the R mount and now I just use a R to M adapter for the M8. But I don't think I am getting that kind of falloff
aj55 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted October 11, 2007 Arnold... Can you post a sample picture taken with the Nikon shift lenses...Thanks. Just got the adapter, will make some pics this weekend and post them in this thread. I have some made with my D200 but that doesn't count does it? grillo Posted October 11, 2007 Share #10 Posted October 11, 2007 Well, with the D200 you can see what you are framing in the viewfinder. When you post images, please tell us how (in)convenient it is to work with the rangefinder.
