Guest WPalank Posted October 13, 2007 Share #41 Posted October 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very helpful, Eric, thanks. What about the risk of jpegs being downloadable? Is there a way to protect them, or just dont worry about it? That's why many prefer Flash. But if someone wants them, they can get them.
Advertisement Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Hi Guest WPalank, Take a look here Easy but "professional" website. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
haanes Posted October 14, 2007 Share #42 Posted October 14, 2007 I'd have a look at simpleviewer: SimpleViewer Download It's simple, it's beautiful, and it's free. I've implemented it on my website, in an iframe: Observasjoner ::: Henrik Haanes design and photography You could still use it as a stand alone gallery though. The beauty of it is it's tight integration with Lightroom while using a plugin. Just select the photos you want to upload, adjust the color theme to your liking, upload it and you're all set. Also, it's really flexible.
keithdunlop Posted October 14, 2007 Share #43 Posted October 14, 2007 Karen, I like the "Chloe" template for my wedding business. How user-friendly are the templates to edit and customize in Flash? egibaud Posted October 14, 2007 Share #44 Posted October 14, 2007 Very helpful, Eric, thanks. What about the risk of jpegs being downloadable? Is there a way to protect them, or just dont worry about it? Whether jpeg or flash does not matter, making a screen capture will let anyone steal the picture anyway. But as it is with screen resolution, it would be hardly usable for printing anyway (a small print, but not really of a usable quality standard). This is one more reason why people should keep quality as low as possible as long as it is note appreciable on screen. You always watermark them, but I would not really bother unless your name on the picture is a way to advertise, in this case al so put the website address.
