That is also the case in my new summilux 35 (FLE2) here the step from 1.4 to 1.8

Next time I am in Wetzlar I will ask Leica if that can be adjusted to a stiffer drive.

The most stiff aperture ring I have in the silver chrome lenses. 
The smoothest has my blackpaint summilux 50mm which is butterly with just the right stop resistance

But do you have a hint of play in the rotational direction when aperture is in one of the f-stops?

Well, the aperture ring relative stiffness on mine in comparison with other M lenses was a welcome surprise.  Thankfully it is not anything like that of my 135mm APO Telyt-M which changes stop with the merest puff of wind!

I do not understand exactly what you mean but the ring is not stiff in any direction, perhaps because of the high numer of blades?

No, not stiff. Whether it can be moved ever so slightly/wobble within the aperture click?

My lens is stable within the aperture click, no wobble when it's locked in a position.
