sandymc Posted October 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) There have been a bunch of threads recently dealing with to what extent "cyan corners"/vignetting is a problem for various combination of Leica/Non-Leica lenses and IR filters. I'll leave the detailed lens-by-lens tests to Sean:D , but I thought that doing a very simple table might be useful to some people. This is based on the discussions on the forum, and feedback to me from CornerFix users. The draft is below - of course, opinions will no doubt vary a lot on this...comments welcome! Excellent: Imperfections not normally noticeable Good: Imperfections only noticeable under difficult lighting conditions and close examination Ok: Imperfections noticeable with normal lighting under close examination, and easily apparent under difficult lighting; CornerFix is sometimes required Nasty: Imperfections clearly noticeable under all lighting conditions; definitely CornerFix territory Difficult lighting here means any kind of light with a non-continuous spectrum - some fluorescent light sources seem particularly bad Sandy
