Since you can't get a new DMR (to my knowledge) im wondering if the used market is holding the price - certainly the value and picture qulaitiy is there but does anyone what the is the market paying - on ebay i have seen prices all over the place - i suspect some of them are bogus sellers.....

thanks

i am considering selling mine - not for any photographic reason....

would love it to go where it will be respected and understood. Sometimes i just hold it and marvel at it for the engineering aspect - i have only a 600 or so shots with it

i know it sounds crazy........

Looks like the DMR is understood and respected in Austria :)

You have to keep in mind that other than the Ebay price, these prices are probably at dealers. A private sale will be more in line with the Ebay price.

Hey, you guys all want too much for your investment. If you selling you had your fun and ask a decent not an overinflated price and it will sell.

Otherwise it will get better like wine with age.

"If the shoe fits wear it!" I will not name any one.

I just took delivery today on an R9/DMR combo from Sean Cranor at Camera West. Great guys and I highly recommend them. http://www.camerawest.com

The build quality on this thing is incredible. I'm just getting to know it, and would like to stay up all night with it, but I've got to work tomorrow.

I'd forgotten how nice the viewfinder is on the R8/R9. The ergonomics are great, and even though I thought the R8 was pretty funky when it first came out, I really like the design now. I don't find the LCD protrusion is a problem (so far). The shutter release is a bit of a stretch, but the one on the DMR handgrip falls right where it should naturally go. The menus and commands are very intuitive. And, it's lighter than I expected. I fully expected it to feel like a 20 lb weight, but it's not bad.

Can't wait to start taking photos with it.
