sdai Posted October 6, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted October 6, 2007 My dealer told me a mint copy should run between 4500-4900 ... what's the bottom record you've seen?
surgiblade Posted October 7, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted October 7, 2007 I paid $4350 for a demo which with my R8 went off to Leitz, N.J., for upgrades. Â I saw one go for $3200 on e-bay. Â Mike
stunsworth Posted October 7, 2007 Share #4  Posted October 7, 2007 Ffordes in the UK have had a couple. The last one went for £2100 - $4200. If there wasn't an R10 coming along I'd be tempted to sell my Canon 5D and buy one.
ptomsu Posted October 7, 2007 Share #5  Posted October 7, 2007 Prices here are between €3400 - €3900.- for mint condition.

rsolomon Posted October 7, 2007 Author Share #8  Posted October 7, 2007 i am considering selling mine - not for any photographic reason....  would love it to go where it will be respected and understood. Sometimes i just hold it and marvel at it for the engineering aspect - i have only a 600 or so shots with it  i know it sounds crazy........

A private sale will be more in line with the Ebay price.
santila Posted October 9, 2007 Share #10 Â Posted October 9, 2007 Hey, you guys all want too much for your investment. If you selling you had your fun and ask a decent not an overinflated price and it will sell. Otherwise it will get better like wine with age. "If the shoe fits wear it!" I will not name any one. Likaleica Posted October 9, 2007 Share #11  Posted October 9, 2007 I just took delivery today on an R9/DMR combo from Sean Cranor at Camera West. Great guys and I highly recommend them. http://www.camerawest.com  The build quality on this thing is incredible. I'm just getting to know it, and would like to stay up all night with it, but I've got to work tomorrow.  I'd forgotten how nice the viewfinder is on the R8/R9. The ergonomics are great, and even though I thought the R8 was pretty funky when it first came out, I really like the design now. I don't find the LCD protrusion is a problem (so far). The shutter release is a bit of a stretch, but the one on the DMR handgrip falls right where it should naturally go. The menus and commands are very intuitive. And, it's lighter than I expected. I fully expected it to feel like a 20 lb weight, but it's not bad.  Can't wait to start taking photos with it.

robsteve Posted October 23, 2007 Share #15 Â Posted October 23, 2007 there's one Ebay.... Â The seller might get more action if he offered it to worldwide buyers. With the weak American dollars, the Buy it Now price may be a bargain to somebody with Euros.
