Fungus in a case?

I have a camera bag that I kept a M3 with lens. One of the lens now has fungus or mold but the other items show no sign of damage. Should I still use the camera bag for the equipment or get a new one to prevent any possible damage to my other lens?

I'll never keep my photo gears in a camera bag or case as a permanent storage .I use an electronic dry box with the relative humidity to be kept at 40 to 50 percent of R.H.For your case go and buy a plastic photo box with compartment at the bottom that you can place silicon gel to dry up the humidity content. When the gel turn from blue to pink or transparent,it's time to have a replacement of the silicon gel...,some container even have a R.H. gauge on the top cover or sidewall...good luck.

Bill,

Fungi spread through spores, which are very difficult to kill. Therefore I'd recommend NOT to use the bag again, dump it.

Keep the infected lens separate fromt the "healthy" equipment to avoid contamination.

Keep the "healthy" equipment in suitable storage to avoid further fungi infections.
