Hello

In the near future Id like to shoot some video with my Leica SL.
Since the SL does not have image stabilisation I would very much like a gimbal.

So far I found the company zhiyun, that produces a variety of gimbals.
Does anybody have some experience with this brand or something like it?

Switching to portrait mode, would be a nice feature.

All the best UN 342

What lenses will you be using? I have used the SL on a Pilotfly and noticed an interesting Leica design choice. The zoom lenses stick out from under the SL’s bottom plate. So if your gimbal assumes a base-plate running under the lens, perpendicular to the camera-body, this will only work if you add some spacing under the SL (e.g. an L-bracket). Summicron-L’s work just fine.

HI you two.

Thanks for the replies. Great Tipp withe the spacing under the SL.

Currently I have the 75 Summicron SL and the 50 Summilux SL.
Also my research brought me to the DJI Rs3 Gimbal with an electronic zoom function.

An alternative would be to build a rig, but then I fear I might get shaky footage.

Or even "better" so get a Lumix s5 and use it with the SL glas...
