so you reckon a 24 will be closer to the 28 dynamic?

and when the full frame Mx comes out everyone will go back to their 28 35 50 setup and the ultra wides will see little use? i can tell you now that before the M8, I would never have considered a 15mm lens. But i'm glad I did with the CV15 :D I just wonder weather it will be just too wide on a FF. the 12 will definitely seem WIDE

unfortunately its not, I really miss my 28 on the M6, but one of the things I liked about it was the framing, the whole viewfinder. I can do that with the 24 on the M8. what it also is more like is my 65 on my mamiya 7-a combo I have always liked.

I think 90% of the time I was probably a little too wide with the 28 on the M6-another step in would have been perfect. So this is the extra step in, tightens things up a little. Whereas I find the 28 on the M8 "not" replicating the 35 look, it feels wider, which I think has to do with magnification and subject/background relationship. It falls apart. I still use my 35 and even tho it is "tighter" crop wise, it has the signature foreground/background relationship I am looking for.

its all f'd up on the M8....really.

no matter what anyone says, a cropped photo looks like a cropped photo to me-it breaks the traditions of the nominal focal lengths no so much in angle of view, but as I said in foreground/background relation. To me, none of the lenses look "right". This coming from someone who can look a picture and tell you what lens was used most of the time.
