The APO M lenses - 35, 50, 90 or 135 - are not "too good" for any M camera.  Compared to other M lenses, you will probably see an improvement in sharpness, contrast and/or fine detail at 100% or 200% enlargement.

Improved image quality is a good thing.

Some may contend that the 35 Summicron APO and/or the 50 Summicron APO are "too clinical" or have "no character" - yet I cannot recall that being said of the 90 APO or the 135 APO.

Perhaps the improved sharpness and contrast of the APO lenses is their character.

Thank you for all the answers. As I said, I can see the difference in the corners at pretty much all apertures. The difference is big between f2 and f4/5.6 -

f5.6 where the center sharpness is close to the same. I'd like to try it on a 60 MP at some point With M11 🤤- I'm sure there is significant difference. There I will also try close focus which I can't do on my M-D. The M35 definitely does not lack character. It has its very own.
I haven't used anything else but an APO M35 since I got it. But my trusty 24 f2.8 is almost always with me. But right now the 35 is more exciting. I guess that's how it is with new gear.
