Yes - its a nice lens.

Have you tried the CV 28mm f3.5? - 'small but beautifully formed' as they say... It's very keenly priced, and also produces excellent results. It's my standard lens of choice at the moment (with the CV 28mm 1.9 in reserve for when the light goes...)

That lens is a sweetheart. It also is made with brass innards, making it perhaps the sturdiest of the Skopars. We're spoiled when it comes to 28 and 35 RF lenses - there are excellent options from all three companies. Among the Leica lenses in this range, I'm partial to the current 28/2.0 and the 35/1.4 but the 35/2.0 is also excellent. We're spoiled....

Cheers,

Sean

I haven't, but it's going on my Christmas list, methinks. My CV 21mm Color-Skopar LTM/Milich LTM8 adapter is a fantastic lens, but the EV had been bugging me lately and I really love the M8's viewfinder.

Too bad there isn't a CV rangfinder-coupled LTM 24mm. I reckon that'd be heaven.

There isn't yet but I've been encouraging Cosina to continue with LTM lenses of various kinds.

Meanwhile, a little bird told me that its quite easy to remove the bayonet on a CV 21P and send it to John for milling. That same little bird suspects the same is true for the CV 25P.

Cheers,

Mine would be the 28 cron. First lens to buy and the last to sell.

Thanks Guy, that's likely the most simple and concise response so far. I've also been weighing the options for my first lens i.e. 24 vs. 28. BTW: I’ve lived in Yuma for 23yrs and only recently, have I’ve started to embrace its limited culture.

Regards,
