Olsen Posted September 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think that the Leica web page (the a la carte) shows very little of how cameras will eventually look with the different coverings etc. The effect of the different alternatives does not really show. Leica should have included more photographed examples. Just to show potential custmomers how they really look. So, I ask you folks; could you show us your Leica a' la carte's, photographed and presented here to the best of your ability?

Goody Leica dealers, can show you the coverings, colours, engraving styles and accesoires you can order.

No. The weakness of the a la carte program is that all to few alterations are available to see. So, those of you who have a a la carte Leica, please show us. Riccis Posted September 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 23, 2007 You can view the a-la-carte configurator (http://www.leica-camera.us/photography/m_system/leica_a_la_carte/configurator/) and see how any combination will look...
Olsen Posted September 23, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted September 23, 2007 You can view the a-la-carte configurator (Leica Camera AG - Photography - Leica à la carte) and see how any combination will look... We know this one. Not a good product presentation. Do you have a ala carte Leica camera?
Riccis Posted September 23, 2007 Share #6 Posted September 23, 2007 We know this one. Not a good product presentation. Do you have a ala carte Leica camera? I just received my M7 a la carte... It's a silver M7 with MP controls in the cognac leather. I will definitely post some images of it on this thread. Take care, Riccis

RITskellar Posted September 26, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 26, 2007 Here's a couple of my MP's. My main one and most favorite is the black chrome version with vulkanit, classic controls & engraving, .72 vf. and black flash shoe. Unfortunately, due to the purchase of a new house, I just sold the black paint and brown leather model that's pictured. It was identical, except for the body cosmetics. Also, despite popular belief, the price of these were much less than retail and I was also able to use the Leica $500 rebate, so it made them a bit more "reasonable". And in some cases, even less than a standard MP. Anyway, just thought I'd share and give you some ideas on what some of the possibilities are and how they look in real life. Welcome, dear visitor! k_g_wolf ✝ Posted September 26, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 26, 2007 >> Andy Great combo, they look indeed gorgeous. Sad you had to let one go ... There isn´t a lot of house you get for a LEICA these days, hopefully in your case it was different. Best wishes
Olsen Posted September 27, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted September 27, 2007 Both are just beautiful! The 2. picture, the leather covered one looks as if it is two colors. But is it only the light that 'play's with us?
