Tightening focus on Focusing Bellows R 16860

I've a 16860 + 100/4 I'm using straight down. When the bellows is extended, all is well (but barely...), but when I do further away, and the belllows is a bit more compressed, I'm getting some drift after letting go of the focus knob; the lens is sinking slightly. Its not the position of the bellows, and at least that knob has a lock.

Before I go poking around in the guts of it, is there a known good way to every so slightly tighten this? Even extended it is a very close to losing focus.
