Advertisement Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Hi alexc, Take a look here wate , lux 35 1/4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
carstenw Posted September 22, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2007 That depends on what you mean with sweet spot, but... you own the lenses! If there is a difference which you can see yourself, then you should be telling us where the sweet spot is!
marknorton Posted September 22, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2007 Leica lenses may give their most characteristic "look" when wide open, it's then you'll see the bokeh at its most pronounced. 35/1.4, completely usable. 50/1, defines the Noctilux "look". 75/1.4, a look all of its own, 90/2, glorious colour and bite. Stop down and you lose it to some degree. The aperture you use is part of your creative tool-box and what sets Leica apart is their fast lenses, the Summiuxes (now down to 2, sadly) and the Summicrons (5, if my counting is working).
