CornerFix 0.9.1.3 is now available for download, in versions for both Windows and the Mac. CornerFix corrects for the "cyan corners" problem on Leica M8 digital cameras when used with IR filters.

This version is primarily an enhancement for the Mac version:

1. Enhanced user interface for the Mac: The spinner has been replaced by a progress bar, the behavior of the splitter window is more user friendly, and thumbnails can be used for display rather than rendering the whole image, which speeds up screen display, although at the cost of a less attractive display.

2. Improved error handling for both the Mac and Windows version.

3. Common source code for both.

In practice, for those using CornerFix for Windows 0.9.1.0, you need not upgrade to this version - you see no practical difference.

The download is at the usual place:

SourceForge.net: CornerFix

Important notes:

1. "16-bit" files are NOT compatible with all raw converters. Specifically, Phase One's Capture One will not read them, other than the V4 Beta - both Apple and PC. For compatibility with C1 versions earlier than 4, you need to enable "Level Compression".

2. Please read the QuickStart document for important information on installation and compression options.

All previous lens profile files (.CPFs), be they those generated on Windows or Mac systems, will work fine with the new version.

Enjoy!

There is a revised version of CornerFix for the Mac available at the usual place.

0.9.1.4 solves for a bug in the Mac version that could cause problems when processing files with certain Unicode characters in the file name, e.g., some European accented characters. If your file names only have ASCII characters in them, you don't need this

This has no impact on the Windows version.

sandy-

nice work & many thanks for the thorough instructions with the update.

i'm not the most digitally literate person on the block, but decided to make a profile for my CV 15.

we have 18% gray walls in our studio at the newspaper where i work, so i set up lights as evenly as i could eyeball them (someone made off with our light meter & mine was in my trunk in the parking lot) and shot a series of frames and followed your instructions and, viola, all went smooth as glass.

shot my next assignment w/CV 15 and cornerfix worked like a champ.

gracias!!
