MJB Posted September 16, 2022 Share #1 Â Posted September 16, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) On the original SL, can the information in the viewfinder be customized in any way? Â I'm aware of the ability to cycle through the various focus aids, but can I choose to hide any of the other displayed symbology - such as the current metering mode, crop mode, focus mode, flash settings, etc.? Â For the life of me I can't find any sort of display settings in the menu, nor can I find anything in the manual - yet, this seems like such a basic and universal setting on any digital camera, not least of all a Leica which is supposed to offer a simple and streamlined approach. Â Am I missing something, or did Leica seriously overlook this? Â TIA.
Advertisement Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Hi MJB, Take a look here Leica SL (601) Display Info. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Darrell Posted September 16, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted September 16, 2022 (edited) When you cycle through the various focus aids, you arrive at no aids at all. This setting turns off all info in the viewfinder and on the rear display. Info below the image will appear while you half-press the shutter button however. Oh, I see - I had that option disabled in the "Live View" submenu. Â Pity it's not separate setting from the focus aids - I would like be able to have the low-information view enabled while also taking advantage of focus peaking, for example. Â Oh well, thanks for the answer.
