Advertisement (gone after registration)

Hi everyone! 

Brand new Q2 Monochrom Leica user here (normally use a 4x5 view camera)--thrilled to be a part of the community. I purchased my Q2 Monochrom brand new direct from Leica and it arrived today with a LCD issue I haven't seen before on any of the cameras I've used in the past (Fuji X series, Nikon Z series etc.). 

When looking at the LCD in live view I noticed a strange vertical warping happening on the right side. When dark subjects, for example the light post, are next to light backgrounds, such as the wall, the vertical lines become more apparent. Has anyone experienced this before? I reset the camera to factory settings, which didn't do anything to address the issue. It doesn't have anything to do with the memory card as this appeared before I even placed one in the camera. The visible color in the line makes me think that this is a broken LCD that will need to be replaced, unfortunately.

I am sorry to hear this.  My Q2M doesn’t do that.  You should try to exchange for a new unit as this is brand new.  Good luck.
