Seba66 Posted September 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everybody. I own an SL2-S and a M10. I’m considering to get a TTartisan 90 mm super fast lens. As I plan to use only on SL2-S, exploiting the integrated EVF, I am considering to get the cheaper L mount version rather than M mount. Does anyone know if there is any reason to prefer the M mount version? I already have the M to L adaptor so I can also adapt the M version to the SL2-S. I didn’t find any side by side comparison, so I would appreciate any comments or advice from the community
Advertisement Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Hi Seba66, Take a look here TTArtisan 90mm f/1.25, L or M Mount?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
BernardC Posted September 13, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2022 They should be the same lens optically, however the M version has a rangefinder cam. The advantages of the M version is that it can be used on your M-10, and it may have a higher resale value if you decide to sell it (because M lenses can be adapted to almost any mirrorless camera). The disadvantage is the price, and the bother of juggling with adapters if you switch lenses often.
insomnia Posted September 13, 2022 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2022 Price, additional weight with the adapter and the sheer complexity of focussing this on a rangefinder - hm, easy call for me for the L-Version.

satijntje Posted September 13, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 13, 2022 I would never ever put this brik on my M10r! I have this lens with L-Mount now but will sell it as I got a Summilux-M 75mm that is more appropriate for a M camera and excellent to put on my SL2-S.

By the way, how does it behave on SL2-S?

Photos By Cowz Posted September 17, 2022 Share #8 Posted September 17, 2022 I'm using the M Mount version as ingitnit before there was an L Mount version. I use it all the time on my SL2 and SL601. Plus the NISI close up filter is a perfect match to bring the focus distance down to about 25cm give or take..... Welcome, dear visitor!
