Dear All,

I have been trying to find a Bracket I can use in order to mount a Flash on the Side of the M11 (and other Digital M's). There has been a Version released by Leica for Models prior to the M10 (see attached Image). This may help as when I shoot Fashion I prefer wider Lenses for a specific Look.

The Look I Prefer is to distort the Image making the Sneakers give a bigger impact if I'm showcasing Them as an Example. This requires that I get closer to the Models, use wide Lenses, and shoot vertically while tilting to fill the Frame and distort further. An Issue occurs when using the SF-24D or other rectangular Flashes mounted on the Camera. The need to get close to the subject causes one Side to be properly exposed. This Occurs whenever I'm under exposing the Backdrop to isolate the Subject. As a Solution I use Nikon's SC-28 Connector which works perfectly with Leica's (tested on the CM,M9,M10, M11, And Sl2-S).

My Personal Issue arises using the SC-28 and that is my Coordination. Having the Flash mounted on a Bracket on the Side will make it perfect to use at closer Distances. I can use the same Connector which has a Screw Hole at the Bottom in order to get It Mounted. It is not a major Issue more being specific to My needs hence a perfect Solution isn't required. Your Help and Advice will be much appreciated as I have been searching for a while now.

Sincerely,

Santos.

I apologize for My capitalization of certain Words. I'm working on it as I try to get used to resisting capitalization of each word limiting it to Nouns. I just got over capitalizing Verbs and Adjectives but I'm sure I missed a few. My Condition also induces Gitterns and some loss of Coordination, which is why a Bracket would help. However It also gives me focusing Super Powers on Tasks which got me where I'm in Life so no Complaints here.

I have tried a few and for most of it it is not working well with M.

here are the issues.

wide angle lenses often require EVF, that you can't use with flash.
M lenses son't allow you to get so close and be in focus. the 24 and 21mm are still at 0.70m

the cable from Nikon does not have a look, so the flash will fall out and drop.

the flash is often too big that it extends infant of the lens. I am talking about the SF-60,

but it is easy to find strait brackets. the one I want to try is the one from ProMediaGear it is the only one that you can change a little

Thank You sir. I use the back Screen whenever I am using wider Lenses in that Manner. Imagine using the EVF while shooting low and tilting. That's how You get kicked out even in a Public Location. Really, thank You a lot for Your help, I was not sure what would work.

Adding to that in regards to wider lenses. I would often shoot at higher F Stops. This to use the Flash at its Max. An Example below to demonstrate That. In this Example I was using the 28 Summaron Indoors At F11 I believe and shooting very close to My subject. To showcase the Outfit only. Sorry this is the only Example I can share at this Time.
