Realphotos Posted September 11, 2022 Share #1  Posted September 11, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have the SL2 and Leica 24-90 and 90 - 280. Their performance is terrific. I have just purschased the S to SL adaptor. Has any one compared the S lenses to the lasted crop of excellent prime SL lense. Really tested one against the other or just an experienced opinion. Look forward to your comments. I have the S3 and many S lens. I enjoy many functions on the SL2.

robb Posted September 11, 2022 Share #2  Posted September 11, 2022 I don’t have any S lenses but what the consensus is on the many threads on this site is SL summicron primes are absolute top SL zooms are equal to S primes
helged Posted September 13, 2022 Share #3 Â Posted September 13, 2022 The S and SL lenses render differently. S-lenses are less perfect, but they are nevertheless on top of my list. S-lenses on SL works brilliantly, with the downside of size and weight. Personally, I particularly like S100 and S180 on SL2/SL2-S; the former because of it's Noctilux-rendering; the latter because of its extreme sharpness & resolution. For shorter focal lengths, I primarily use the SL24-90 on SL2-S. 1
