Dissatisfied with my summer pics taken using my M7, underexposed, vignetting, and artifacts

I also use the CV 35 1.4 v2, and while it does vignette wide open, stopped down a bit it disappears.

Here are two pics I took with it on my M5.  The unicyclist was shot at maybe f4-5.6, while the truck was at 1.4.

Ansel Adams sometimes exaggerated vignetting in print by dodging, as a support for the eye to lead it to essential idea of the image. If you like film photography you should be able to embrace its imperfections which make the image so much more interesting

Used to be film packs with protection of some sort and then ask for physical inspection as sensitive film. Don't know whether one can still buy or where.

Here you go - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/185375-REG/Domke_711_15B_Film_Guard_Bag_Large.html

As for shutter travel/banding issues, a CLA would resolve that.  Contact Don Goldberg, Sherry Krauter or Youxin Ye about a CLA (Google will help you get in touch with any of them).

Never had this issue in mine. I’ve gone through two repairs for the shutter release. Never used sherry, Ye told me he wouldn’t fix m7 ( although did great work on m2).  I used Don 2 times now and he was reasonable and daily quick. I recommend him for m7 cla.

I bought an M7 shortly after it was released. I was living in Santa Fe so I used the heck out of it. Street photography in the city, building shapes and lines, landscapes with my 28 f2 asph. Taos and surrounding areas, even the driveway to Elliot Porters home. Now years later I'm in Las Vegas, NV, not NM, and my M7 is still performing strong. I'm thinking it may be time for CLA by DAG, but it hasn't given me any reason to ship it out.

If it works great, leave it alone!

Both times it just got sticky. Had to fiddle and turn it off.
from DAG

I replaced the shutter release button again since it was slightly knicked up and it's due to the on-off switch. It's best not to
use the on-off switch, always leave it on the on position and try to remember to have the shutter released when you're not using the camera.

apparently this may be an issue with m7 .

he’s repaired countless cameras so I trust his opinion. Sorry for the late response. I have not been on line as much lately.
