Hi all, this is ultimately a Leica question by way of Fuji - hope that's ok for a minute. If not, it can be moved elsewhere.

I have a Mitakon-Zhongyi 35mm 0.95 (50mm equiv) for my Fuji X-pro 1 and I call it my poor man's summilux/noct. I really love it at 0.95, and I'd like to know that style (I would call it razor thin) in Leica lens equivalent. It's really magic on the X pro.

Is an APS-C 0.95 simply the equivalent of a full frame 1.4? If anyone is familiar with the rendering/DOF of this Mitakon lens, would you compare it to a 50 Lux or a 50 F1 perhaps? The fastest Leica lens I have is Summicron.

I'm considering a purchase of a pre-asph 1.4 or perhaps even more excitingly an F1.

thanks

Hi, I believe that in very general terms re APSC/ FF, light gathering remains the same, but depth of field will be shallower with FF.  Rendering is too subjective to one's personal tastes, so that's your call.
