qqphot Posted August 21, 2022 Share #1  Posted August 21, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if the Voigtlander 40mm F/1.2 (VM mount) rf cam can be calibrated or adjusted? I've started trying to use mine on an M3 and focus is far enough off that it's not really useful, even at reasonable apertures. There are no shims that I can find under the mount and spacing it further out doesn't improve things. I tried contacting Cameraquest (where I bought it) but got no response. I don't really want to adjust the camera to the lens because then it'd focus wrong on all my other lenses which seem fine. (e.g., the 50mm F/1.5 Nokton focuses great.) I don't need it perfect and I realize the lens probably has some focus shift that complicates matters, but I'd love to get it so i could get some use out of it. Advertisement Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Hi qqphot, Take a look here Voigtlander 40mm F/1.2 Nokton on film?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
oldwino Posted August 22, 2022 Share #2  Posted August 22, 2022 Mine focusses fine on my M4. If it is off, it is within the margin of error for film. Can't say about digital, as I don't own any digital rangefinder camera. Sounds like you got a bad one. See if you can send it back.
