No specific examples. The classic example would be a set of 15-20 images in a set.

Some say that "you should never" mix aspect ratios, while others take the view that it's fine - whatever crop works best for the particular image is best. I suspect the former view is likely to be held by those who don't like to crop.

I'm interested less in what cropping says about how the photographer composed the image in the viewfinder, and more about the artistic/aesthetic appearance of images with different aspect ratios, all grouped together in one set.

If i'm doing a set, it's to tell a story. My experience with cine taught me to usually provide long, medium and closeup shots.  (the 16mm lens setup before Zoom) Since I take a lot ot architectural subjects and I am now using a Q2 mostly, I very often crop to get the desired image. I suppose if you were doing a series of portraits to be shown or displayed, you would probably want them in the same aspect ratio. So I guess it's a personal choice, no right or wrong.
