bourne Posted August 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Although it does not seem to mention in the manual, I just wish to confirm that in fact, the front focus button on the M10R when pressed looking through the optical viewfinder can confirm the shutter speed and whether the camera has been set for exposure compensation. I find this very useful. Thanks...
Advertisement Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Hi bourne, Take a look here Front Focus Button. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
yanidel Posted August 17, 2022 Share #2 Posted August 17, 2022 Kind of a mystery but to my understanding there are two ways of setting exposure compensation : 1) directly with the thumb wheel. 2) Pushing the front button and the thumb wheel. So really I believe #2 exists to avoid to accidently alter the exposure compensation (I use #1 since the wheel is hidden behind my thumbs up) . To me, it would be better get rid of the ISO wheel and use it instead as exposure compensation. TAnd that front button is largely useless for the way I shoot.
