I want to use the connected mode possibilities offered by LR Classic, for an M11 and an SL2S, on a MacBookPro in usb-c/usb-c.
LR remains in search and does not find the boxes: neither LS2S nor M11.
Obviously, it lacks a plug-in.

1) Leica, after confirming that it should work for SLs with a plugin, sent me the "leicatethered.lrplugin". But it causes LR to be cut off as soon as I command online mode (file/capture in online mode/start capture in online mode)!
Note: Leica specifies that it should work with the M11 without adding a plug-in, which is not the case for me.

2) On the Leica site, there is also this plug in "leicatethered.lrplugin".
Unfortunately, once unzipped, it remains grayed out (therefore not selectable) from the LR module manager!

Note: I used a standard usb-c/usb-c cable, and not the usb-c/Lightning supplied with the M11 (dedicated to connection on iPhone or iPad old generation), not having Lightning on my MacBookPro.

I would be very interested in sharing my experience on the subject.

Thanks in advance.

I you trying to download photos from the camera to LrC you don't need the plugin.

SL2s and M11 should be setup to drive connection and they show up as a drive.

Not sure why you would do it this way? My choice would be to take out the cameras card and load it into the computer.

Tether is a different processes where the camera connected can take a photo and display it in LrC.
Since adobe never developed a real support for it is basically useless unless you are doing a still-fife and one frame capture. LrC is painfully slow. so don't even start with it.

The only good choice is capture one for tether shooting.
M11 does not support tether shooting.

Thank you for these confirmations.
I use, like many studio photographers, the connected mode of Phocus with Blad's, and I would have liked to do the same thing from LR with Leica, but it seems that it is not really possible. Yet Leica assured me yesterday that it works (besides why would this option be offered in the LR menu?), with a plug-in for the SL2S and nothing with the M11.
Well, the Leica specialists are on vacation now... I'll see about that later, unless Adobe can help me...
