Hi all,

Been a while, just checking in. Turned the corner and feel like i'm finally makin progress after my last spinal reconstruction. Started Physical Therapy (walking ... up to a bit more than a city block and harder than it sounds)

Miss my M8, hope everyone who purchased some of my kit is enjoying it, will be hard to replace! oly e-510 is light and offsets my spianl trauma shakes but the IQ is nothing like the leica, but I' preaching to the choir.

I ordered a WATE before my sugery and seem not to have cancelled it, been on morphine since April and a bit flakey, just downgraded the amount enough to be really getting my wits back. Anyway the WATE showed up and is listed on the board.

Thanks all for the odd kind notes here and there, much appreciated. I enjoy the M8 through your hands and eyes.

Kind regards to all.

Dear Bill, I am sorry to hear about your spinal problems, but happy to hear that you had an operation, and that you feel you are progressing.

It is most sad that you had to sell your M8 and may also have to sell your WATE in order to get the operation - as I understand you. In my country, Denmark, every medical operation is paid by the State under our social security system, so it is hard for me to imagine your situation. It is even harder to imagine how you can get over such a medical operation without your dear M8. So I have the greatest compassion with you, and I send you my best wishes.

I am a back patient myself, and morpine is i a fine pain killer, that is relatively cheap, compared with e.g. Oxycodone. You will, eventually, get used to it and have to struggle a fight with yourself and the doctors on getting the right amount of pain killer to help you stay alive and active.

I do hope for you, that you soon get a new M8 and WATE, so that you can have an interest that can divert your thoughts from your pain. Following the interventions on this forum might hopefully also help you.
