PFKousgaard Posted July 15, 2022 Share #1 Â Posted July 15, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hallo there i just got my new TL2 yesterday and have the visoflex 020 for my Leica x. i can read in the manual that it is possible to switch between the EVF and the LCD via the function button but the option is not pressent in the menu setting for the function button. I am running firmware 1.5 did they change this? and if so does anyone know if it is related to the bricking issue of the camera in earlier firmwares with the visoflex? Advertisement Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Hi PFKousgaard, Take a look here TL2 Setting the function button to switch the viewfinder on. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MJB Posted July 16, 2022 Share #2  Posted July 16, 2022 I think it must be a FW change because I don’t see the option any more, either. I do recall seeing it when I first bought the camera but it was running v1.4 at the time. A little annoying because I just ordered a Visoflex to use with the camera! bonjac Posted July 14, 2024 Share #3 Â Posted July 14, 2024 I am having the same type of problem except I can't get the automatic function to switch between LCD and EVF to even work. Â I have only had the camera and visoflex for a few days but user manual seems terribly out of date. Â Took me forever to figure out how to implement focus peaking and zoom. Â So, it seems that both of you at least have the camera switching between LVD and EVF, can you help. Â Thanks

Thanks There are many issues with the visoflex: 1. it doenst work like advertised in the manual on the TL2. 2. i wear glases and the amount of light that leaks around my glasses and on to the proximity sensor (the litte square under the viewfinderscreen) is enough to not make it switch automaticly. So if you wear glases this my be your issue, if you dont either the proximity snesor is dirty and therfor cannont register if you are looking through it or not or damaged. bonjac Posted July 23, 2024 Share #5  Posted July 23, 2024 Thank you for responding.  I finally sorted out my problem -- it was a setting problem.  I am doing fine now and starting to really like the camera.

OK first, make sure you are actually in the function menu and not the customized menu. Â Hit the camera icon and then the tool (just above it), and its multiple screens so scroll (touchscreen swipe) through - and most are toggles - touch to change (cycles). Â I have the same setup - not near - but I remember I can turn off the screen to conserve battery (but don't - with knockoff batteries that don't ruin the camera - I just carry an extra). I know this is a really dumb answer - but trust me - I managed with some 30 bodies before the TL2 and it was an act of god (or perhaps a member here) who was able to explain the zooming or magnification function to me.
