Leonardo Only to glad to be of help!! It is definitely worth the money, as is the 'sling', which is laughably simple, but an elegant solution to a slippery problem. Printmaker Posted September 14, 2007 Share #23 Posted September 14, 2007 I picked up a 1.35 magnifier with an adjustable diopter from Tony Rose. Ran around $200 with shipping. Besides focusing for my ancient eyes, it gives me close to an M3 view. Using an external 28mm viewfinder for my ZM 21, and the camera's enlarged finder for my 35 and 90, the magnifier now lives on my M8. One side benefit is that the magnifier has reduced my 28mm lens lust. However, the 50 Summicron or Lux is starting to look very desirable. BTW: Is it my imagination/memory or are the white frame lines on a M3 thicker and brighter than on an M8? With or without a magnifier, the M8 lines look a little whimpy. Shootist Posted September 15, 2007 Share #24 Posted September 15, 2007 I believe the 50mm framelines on the M3 are in the viewfinder, as they are always visible even when the 90 and 135 lines are shown. Yes they are thicker. that is for the 50mm. The others on the M3 seem to be about the same as the other M cameras, including the M8.
