Hello fellow SL shooters!

As I was changing lenses, I just realized that I got a scratch on my camera body, inside, below the sensor.

I've mostly used the Sigma 45mm f2.8 DG DN, and while it is an assuringly tight fit, I'm wondering if this is to be considered regular wear and tear or can this be a defect of my lens mount?

If anyone has any similar experience, I'd be glad to hear your views.

Many thanks!

Hi Peepingpok,

Yes, on my SL2-S has some marks under the sensor but it is not the same location like your and it is very light mark. I tried the Sigma 45mm f2.8 DG DN on mine but it is not as tight as you said.

I don't know how the mark was created by which lens. It does not bother me.

Have you examined using an illuminated loupe? Scratches can be deceiving ... maybe not a scratch? Consider wiping the mark using a Q tip soaked in Eclipse fluid.

Many thanks, I'll certainly give it a try.

Thanks for your thoughts!
I also have a close focus adapter for my M lenses (Gabale) but I only noticed this scratch after using the Sigma lens for 2-3 weeks in a row. Could be a coincidence though.

Most importantly the sensor is intact, but it still bothers me a little.

Hahh, it actually worked! The "scratch" was indeed deceiving, it was apparently some oil stain, but it really looked like a scratch. Managed to remove it almost perfectly. Thanks a bunch!! 🙏🏻
