madNbad Posted June 17, 2022 Share #1  Posted June 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've owned this M4 since 2019 and never really paid much attention to the baseplate. Today when I took a look at it, it occurred to me, there are no markings, none nada. No OPEN/CLOSE or AUf/ZU as seen on just about every other M camera. Did it come from the factory  this way or is it a replacement?  If it is a replacement it is very well made and has never caused any problems with loading or light leaks. Any ideas?   Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! madNbad Posted June 17, 2022 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 17, 2022 Thank you. It's been a decade since my M6 TTL and even longer from the M6. The last two, a M6 TTL Millennium and a M2 were marked. I thought Leica had done away with it for a while then brought it back.
