Nine years after its controversial release in June 2013, the XV continues to be my lightweight go anywhere camera. The XV was the world's first APS-C compact zoom camera. Unfortunately the X Vario was given a very negative reception when first released by those who did not understand its design philosophy ... many of whom never used the camera and criticised it 'out of hand'.
