Anyone tempted to move from the M system to the Hasselblad X1Dll and shoot with your existing M Lenses.  I am seriously considering to move away from the Leica M to the Hasselblad X1Dll; mainly because of the crazy pricing of Leica M11

I’ve tried it and while it’s nice at first the initial excitement wears off quite fast. The e-shutter on the X1DII is just bad…with rolling shutter and all those problems…so, my recommendation is to not use it unless you shoot landscapes. But then if you do that, I would recommend sharper lenses made specifically for Medium Format, as a better option.

Not to mention that you’re going to run into problems with M lenses’ image circles not covering the full 44x33 sensor.  I tested a variety of mine on a Fuji GFX 50R and found that they had poor corner performance, when the vignetting wasn’t terrible.  Sure, you could just crop around the problem, but to me that would defeat the purpose of having such a high megapixel sensor.
