Jk1002 Posted June 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I started becoming really curious about this. I know VR glasses are far away from mainstream but this is something I feel will change over the next 2 or 3 years. While I was never big on editing with lightroom or photoshop I am really interested in learning to design my own gallery space to present my work. https://www.mona.gallery/spaces/hiYtfiFMg3kh/details How do we attack that shift, I know Alec Soth mentioned sketchup is used today to design exhibitions but I also know that this is not capable of creating 3D spaces. Blender is what that does but that seems more complicated. Anybody else moving into this direction? Best JK

LocalHero1953 Posted June 13, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) The RPS Contemporary Photography (East Anglia) group, of which I'm a member, produced a virtual exhibition in January, using the Artsteps platform that could be used, with limited resolution and functionality, for free. It seems to be still up. With the lessons we learned we will have another exhibition later this year. There are other platforms around, but they cost quite a bit. They were aimed at photo festival organisers in lockdown. The Derby FORMAT festival used it IIRC. I would also be keen to hear of other platforms that could be used, preferably at lowish cost! And with a more creatively customisable environment. Edited June 13, 2022 by LocalHero1953
