LBJ2 Posted May 24, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) For anyone that might be interested: https://leica-camera.com/en-US/downloads?download_area_category=1171&field_media_document_topic=1695 Today I noticed the Leica Lightroom Tethered Plug-in 2.0.1 is available for download again and had the opportunity to download and try with my SL2 ver 4.0 for the first time. I ran two tests, one on my Intel 5K iMac and the other on my M1 Max MacBook Pro. Both of my macs include: macOS Monterey v 12.4 Lightroom Classic v 11.3.1 * I connected the SL2 to both computers through the camera's USBC port to the computer's Thunderbolt port via compatible USBC cable. The test was a success on my Intel iMac, everything worked as expected 👍🏻 but I was presented with a message on LRC on the M1 MBP that I must run LRC in the Rosetta emulator mode in order for the plugin to work on the M1 computer which I didn't want to do since I prefer to use LRC M1 app version. Again, a quick test that someone else might find interesting if considering for use with any of the Apple M1 computers. * I did not try the same with Leica Lightroom Tethered Plug-in 2.0.0 1
Advertisement Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 Hi LBJ2, Take a look here Leica Lightroom Tethered Plug-in 2.0.1 and Apple M1 Computer. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LBJ2 Posted August 21, 2023 Author Share #2 Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) Been a while since I posted the above, but apparently between macOS for M1 updates and/or Lightroom Classic updates broke the Leica-LRC tether along the way. I just noticed Lightroom Classic fixed Leica Tether ( again) in LRC ver 12.5. Today I confirmed a successful Leica Classic 12.5 tether with the SL2 both connection and operation: -Leica SL2 ver 5.1 -LRC ver 12.5 -macOS Venture 13.5.1 -Leica Tether Plugin 2.0.1 -OWC Thunderbolt 4 cable between SL2 and Mac Studio/Ultra computer ( *no need to removeSD cards) -Edit: * I confirmed the same with the M11 (ver 1.6.1), but I did have to remove the SansDisk SD card from the M11 in order for the LRC Tether to connect. "Bug fixes: [LRC 12.5] There are lots of bug fixes, but Adobe only publishes the ones that were reported by users: Classic: Issues opening Photoshop Beta 25 Lightroom and Camera Raw Color Range Mask Edge Artifacts Unable to Import non-cinematic video Published Folders renamed does not rename in Finder on macOS Ventura 13.0.1 Crash when tethering Leica using plugin Tether capture crashes Lightroom Save Metadata To File corrupts .avif image Curve checkbox Copy/Paste and Sync Features not selected by default Lightroom Classic 12.4 Crashing when Windows Media Feature Pack not installed Direct Camera Connect fails to show previews in Import Dialog (Mac) LrC 12.4 crashes while using Photoshelter Plug-in for Export (Can not connect to remote server) Process Version 6 creates wider scroll bars (French/German) SDK: Windows edit field truncates multi-line pasted text" https://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-classic-12-5/#:~:text=Mobile new feature, for Batch Import of photos.
