The 28 f 2 asph

Over the years I've made many images with this lens. I have, in addition, a 35 f2 asph, 50 f 2.5, 75 f 1.4 and the 90 f 2.8. When deciding what lenses to take on an informal shoot, I gravitate toward my 28 for wide, and the 75 for moderate reach, and most everything else. Recently I noticed the aperture ring had come loose on the 28. I contacted DAG, he gave me a quote and estimate turn around. Don has provided outstanding service on my Leica's since the 1990's. The lens went off to Oregon, Wisconsin on May 9. I received it today from DAG, he commented parts were loose and checked it for good working order. Do I think I need the latest APO lens? No. This little jewel, and it is small, delivers sharp, excellent color rendition, transparencies or prints. OK, this is a plug for DAG more than anything else.

He probably meant ASPH, but which Aspherical model is still unknown.
