In a store where they collect old material I saw a very damaged camera, but I realized that the lens was quite good, I offered €50 for everything and I bought it.

After cleaning the lens as best I could, I verified that the lens was working properly.

I would like to know how such a lens behaves in CL and TL2, after buying the C/Y-TL adapter that I received today.

The €50 I have paid is normal or is it too much?...

As always, I look forward to advice on things to check to ensure the lens is perfect.

You will not a valuation on the forum but why not post some photographs of the lens, I'm sure there are members who can advise you as to it's suitability.

No hará una valoración en el foro, pero ¿por qué no publicar algunas fotografías de la lente? Estoy seguro de que hay miembros que pueden aconsejarle sobre su idoneidad.

If you have the adapter definitely take some photos. I have used several 50s on my CL Kodak Retina f1.9, Leica Summicron f2 collapsible, Canon FD f1.4, Nikon 55 micro f2.8, the one I use most is a 55 f1.4 7Artisans, just because it is smaller and L mount . I have gotten nice photos from all of them. They make nice short telephotos, portrait lenses. Zeiss Planars have the reputation of being excellent lenses.

1. Direct photo of the camera in JPG.
2. The same photo in DNG and converted to JPG.
In this test, I observe that the Carl Zeiss Planar 1.7/50 mm, makes a good blur in the background. That seems to me: .. Do you share the same opinion? ...

TL2+Carl Zeiss Planar 1.7/50 mm.   (Without trimming)
