The thumbwheel on my Q2 is not behaving properly, regardless of which mode (Off, Auto, Exp. Comp.) it is set to.

This is what it does:

- Click once, and get one increment (Menu Choice, Exp Setting, Program Setting) of change.

- Click again - nothing. happens

- Click 3rd time, and what changed with click one above is reversed.

- All subsequent clicks repeat the above pattern.

Very strange, indeed.  Running latest 3.1 firmware.  Have removed and replaced battery, reset camera, and reset all user settings to blank with no change to thumbwheel behavior.  Really hate to send back to Leica and endure the 6 to 8 week servicing wait time.  For now, I just set it to Off, and pretend it is not there.  The Thumb button works fine.

Anyone else run into this or anything similar?

I would reset the camera after having changed the battery once

Thank you for the suggestion.  Had tried that a couple of times already, but went ahead and did again just now ...

- removed battery from camera

- replaced battery after 30 minutes

- reset camera

Unfortunately, no help.  Firmware is already latest (ver 3.1) so nothing to do on that front.

I will just keep using as though the thumbwheel isn't there.  I've put exposure comp on the FN button, so it's almost as handy as when on thumbwheel.

Sent camera off to Leica service in NJ, and just got it back after a very quick turnaround (thanks, Leica).  All good as new now, and thumbwheel works correctly.  Upgraded firmware to Ver 4.0, and all good to go.
