dkCambridgeshire Posted September 10, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2007 If 64705 is the serial number then the body is probably a a 1931 vintage leica 1 Model C .. which could b either standard mount or non-standard mount ... the latter had a specific lens matched to the body and the lens woud be engraved with the last three serial numbers of the body No. If it is a standard mount body there will be a small letter 'o' engraved on the lens mount at 12 o' clock. . I recently paid a well known dealer £150 for a standard mount Leica 1 Model C in average cosmetic condition but in full working order. There are a number of different variations of Elmar lenses and more details would be required to identify it including serial number if it has one .. and if it is a chrome type or nickel ... and if it has been coated ... if you can post some pictures it would help. dunk
