Hello from Germany!

Just updated my M11 and configured the file saving mode to the new option in FW 1.3.0.0 to: DNG+JPG IN=SD. So it should save both files in the internal storage and to the SD Card. I set the JPG options to Black&White with high contrast.
When I open Lightroom to import, it displays only one DNG file, no JPG. But the displayed DNG File in the import section is shown in Black&White...??

So, I basically want: DNG + JPG. JPG in Black and White. I want an extra file for both and both files, for backup purposes, saved internally and to the SD Card

What do I need to change?

Best regards

Sebastian

Ich antworte mal auf Deutsch: Du musst in den Voreinstellungen von LR im Reiter Allgemein ein Häkchen setzen bei JPG und RAW als separates Foto behandeln. Dann solltest Du in LR beide Fotos sehen. Der Dateiname ist gleich, nur die Dateiendung ist unterschiedlich.

Are you using USB-C cable to import the images? or are you using a SD card reader?

USB-C cable are not all the same. I was testing what cable work on my machine.

USB-C cable 3.2 Get should show you both DNG and JPEG in import window with preview in Lightroom. Internal storage and SD cards are all mixed in, a little confusing.

USB-C 2.0 GEN cable will only show DNG icons and you can import does. The JPEG don't even show in Lightroom import window. Strange!

A fast USB-C cable 3.1 3.2 gen is faster and better to import into Lightroom the images from you computer.

but here comes the twist..

Conecting M11 to Fotos app with iPad Pro via USB-C is different.

Most USB-C don't even connect. the only one that works for me is a USB-C 2.0 Get charging cable, works every time. I use a long anker cable.

A couple of things happening.

1-When you preview the image in camera, it should be black and white, true? That’s because the preview is based on the jpeg

2- In Lightroom, change the import settings so it imports and displays both jpeg and DNG

3- Lightroom also bases the preview on the jpeg-hence the black and white
