lepremier Posted September 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) First of all...apologies if this has appeared before. I made a few shots of something (a purple colored sweater) recently and kept re adjusting the WB because what was shown in the LCD seemed way off. Finally I gave up but when viewed on my Mac the images were just about perfect (colorwise that is). Is there any particular reason for this.....Tks. Advertisement Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Hi lepremier, Take a look here How Accurate is the LCD Viewer. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Iron Flatline Posted September 10, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2007 It was explained to me by Marcus Reichmann at the Leica store that the M8 will render a JPG better on the little screen than the DNG. I gather for the DNG it generates a tiny thumbnail, but the JPG is displayed "as is." You'll have to trust your experience, and assume you'll get home with workable shots - and then tweak them on your computer.
