miami91 Posted September 10, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted September 10, 2007 Agreed. Slower kit lens, cheaper build quality, removal of shutter speed dial and aperture ring, addition of "scene modes" --- this is hardly moving the four-thirds standard forward. Hope Leica skips this one and instead focuses on a Leica version of the Oly E3, which looks quite promising from early rumours. Â Jeff.
Iron Flatline Posted September 10, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted September 10, 2007 I had a chance to play with it at the IFA 2007 here in Berlin last week. I found the camera to be quite flimsy, and that if felt cheap. It really seemed very entry-level to me. Oh well.
marknorton Posted September 10, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted September 10, 2007 Seems to confirm that the L1 (and by implication the Digilux 3) have failed to generate the sales expected. I guess we knew that with the price cuts and deals. Â I don't think this new camera is going to turn the tide. Faced with a Nikon D40/D40x or Canon whatever, why would you bother with this thing? MJLogan Posted September 10, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted September 10, 2007 Seems to confirm that the L1 (and by implication the Digilux 3) have failed to generate the sales expected. I guess we knew that with the price cuts and deals. Â I was worried, too, when I first saw the L10--but it's obviously aimed at a different market than the L1/D3. I'll keep my hopes for the future of the D System alive for now.
