He. I have been given a Leica R5. I cocked the shutter to try it out and released. But when I tried to wind it on once more the rapid transport lever stuck and resides to advance. I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone know if I can mend it and if so how. It is not worth sending to Leica for repair as it would cost too much.

I do not have my R5 to hand (I'm away from home).  Presumably you have carried out basic checks such as opening the back and making sure nothing is visibly obstructing the take-up spool?  Are the metal shutter blades undamaged? Did the shutter completely release?  Hope you are able to find and correct the problem.
