megamanex Posted March 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey all, I’m looking if anyone has any resources about ancillary data over HANC and VANC stream through HDMI. Right now I know the SL2 is exporting ancillary data over hdmi as I can capture timecode and see it’s broadcasting the ancillary data per frame but I need info on what’s contained in the ancillary stream. I’m trying to send and receive record states as well as decode whatever data may also be in the stream such as clip names, etc. any ideas? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

megamanex Posted March 10, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted March 10, 2022 (edited) Here you can see that I'm getting frame accurate timecode readings but not really getting packets..which is fine, but I am just wondering if there exists docs somewhere that would describe the ancillary output produced. This could be a dead end mostly because I don't think anyone besides myself is looking to intercept this data on an SL2 / SL2-S and it's not really a CINE camera but the data is being described...I'd just like to access it if possible.
