M Journey Posted March 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry if this is already answered elsewhere (I did a search for transfer speeds and nothing came up). I was thinking of reducing the wear and tear on my SD card by transferring files directly from the m11 to my PC. I am using a usb 3.1 gen 2 wire and have the camera set to p2p. It starts the transfer but shows a long completion time, and after a few minutes it stops due to an unknown error. Has anyone else experienced this issue? My questions are: 1. Is there a correct method to transfer files directly from in camera to PC (maybe there is another setting I need to turn on?) 2. What is the fastest transfer speed you have gotten and with what type of usb wire? 3. Is it worth transferring directly from camera to save wear and tear? I'm pretty sure that the speed will never match using a dedicated card reader but if I can get a decent speed it might be worth it or at least lets me carry one less item when traveling since the came can double as a charging wire as well.
