Hi all

I do like to quick change to shoot Monochrome during wedding, but to go to -

1- image 2- JPG setting 3-Saturation 4- Monochrome

is quite a few steps to do

Are there any short cut to change to shoot Monochrome on SL ? I understand i can add to Favourites or assign to button bit it seem there is no option to set  Monochrome ... maybe i missed something?

Thank you :)

I tend to skip step 2; if you just switch the saturation to Monochrome (without switching to JPG capture), the camera will show the image as a monochrome in the viewfinder and on the back screen, whether looking at Live View or when reviewing the image you've shot. This is because the camera uses for viewing the mini-JPG that rides with the DNG file, and the Saturation setting affects the mini-JPG. I also see it as monochrome when I import the image into Photo Mechanic, as it is not a DNG/RAW developer and relies on the file's mini-JPG as well. I use that as a proxy for deciding whether to process it as a b&w. Once you import it into a RAW developer like Lightroom, it dumps the mini-JPG and restores it to full color.
