I'm struggling to get my S3 to shoot tethered to a Mac M1X Monterey using LR Classic. C1 works like a charm, but I would prefer LR for my workflow. The manual says to download and install a plugin (LeicaTethered.lrplugin), but I cannot locate this on the Leica site. Tried to start a tethered session anyway (in Rosetta mode), but LR is stuck detecting camera. Appreciate any experience you might have getting this to work.

Honestly, stick with C1 for tethering. The software is called "Capture" for a reason. They take tethering seriously. Adobe doesn't maintain their tethering, so it gets flaky frequently.

You can always have LR running a hot (watched) folder if you want the pictures to end up there in close to real time.

Thanks, seems like the best (and possibly only) option at the moment.

I regularly use the Leica Image Shuttle (ver 3.6) with my S2P and 007 for focus stacking, because ver 3.6 is the last that will change the focus.  The S3 needs ver 3.8, but it will not change the focus.  Additionally each version works in Lightroom with a watched folder.

I just looked for any LIS download and found nothing.  Sorry.

I do not know how to send you any of my copies.

I believe the issue is not tethering itself, but the Mac with the M1 chip running OS Monterey. So none of the suggestions probably apply.

S3 - check.

Mac with M1 - check

macOS Monterey - check

Tethering works - check.

Not a problem.
