Q2 F-Stop: 1 f-stop divergence between adjustment ring and the display in the viewfinder

Q2 f-stop: Does anyone know the phenomenon on their Q2: the display in the viewfinder deviates by half a stop from the setting on the adjustment ring.
Setting f=8 on the ring, display f=10 in the viewfinder.
The camera has been reset before to be on the safe side.

Sounds plausible. However, I followed tbfins advice and went to the Leica store.  After comparing it with a camera from the exhibition, it was sent in. Six weeks estimated processing time - this is going to be really hard. Just cold turkey.
