Older Leica diopters

Anyone here use diopters for film M bodies? Current Leica brand diopters are made of rubber with smooth edges. Anyone here remember if older diopters from the old Wetzler days that were made from hard plastic with serrated edges? A photo would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I used to use them until I had eye surgery implanting lenses , at which point I sold mine. My recollection was that they were either hard plastic or metal.
