logan Posted February 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up a new M10-R Black Paint today (snagged the last one from my local shop!). Man oh man is it gorgeous in person! I have noticed, though, that there's a bit of vertical play in the shutter speed dial, and to a lesser extent, in the ISO dial. Both dials spin as they should and have positive clicks while doing so, but if I press down on either of them, they move a tiny bit. (I noticed this when I picked up the camera and placed my thumb on top of the shutter speed dial, and it felt like I was pressing a very shallow button.) I own three film M cameras, and their shutter speed dials don't have any play in them. Is this normal with this camera? Thanks!

Adam Bonn Posted February 10, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2022 I own an M9 and M10 and used to own an 240 They all have/had this slight ‘press ability’ to the SS dial - so nothing to worry about there IMHO

txjm Posted February 10, 2022 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2022 My M10R-BP shutter dial is already bottom out and no play what so ever when pressed down on it. I also checked my M10-P and it does have a very slight gap and play on the shutter button but it wasn't something I noticed until I read this thread.
